Document assembly engine DealBuilder server

The core of the DealBuilder document assembly product family

DealBuilder Server is the world's most robust and proven document automation engine.

Working in conjunction with a Microsoft SQL Server database, DealBuilder Server presents automated documents to business users as browser-based questionnaires.  The application generates perfectly fit-for-purpose documents from the completed questionnaires and stores the answers as metadata for future use.

DealBuilder Server can assemble documents and export data in a variety of formats including Microsoft Word RTF, .PDF, html and XML.

Powerful re-generation features enable documents (or the questionnaires relating to them) to be re-created at any time, complete with the answers already given.   This makes the redrafting of documents or the passing of data between numbers of documents a trivial task.

A fully featured Administration capability enables system managers to define security and document access rights on a role-based basis.

DealBuilder Server provides an integral transaction management capability for organizations who wish to use DealBuilder to serve their own clients via an extranet or online service. The transaction management provides configurable usage reports, document audit trails, data validation and recharge/billing capabilities.

Document assembly solutions

Architecture
DealBuilder Server is a multi-tier application consisting of a series of web, application and data services layers. At the heart of the application layer is the DealBuilder Server assembly engine which performs the real-time creation of dynamic web pages and generation of output documents.

Customization
The DealBuilder Server web layer is fully customizable through the use of stylesheets, images and html templates. DealBuilder Server generates standard W3C compliant HTML and JavaScript making it suitable for embedding within your existing portal applications.

Integration
The application layer consists of ASP/COM technologies, enabling server side integration as well as the ability to accept XML formatted data in the http requests. Microsoft .Net wrappers are available to provide greater flexibility for customization.

Data
DealBuilder Server supports multiple methods of data flow such as XML and database tables.

Security
In addition to standard Windows integrated security capabilities within IIS and COM+, DealBuilder Server supports a security authorization model at the level of master access, and questions within those masters.

Document Tracking
DealBuilder Server can track the generation of documents whilst providing an audit trail of documents generated by individuals. This data can be used to generate usage reports and can be integrated within your billing system.

Scalability
The recommended DealBuilder Server specification can support the generation of 12,500 standard-sized questionnaire pages per hour. If your needs grow, DealBuilder Server can be scaled to a cluster of servers .

Dynamic Content
DealBuilder Server's intelligent engine automatically produces JavaScript to control the high levels of dependency between questions on the same page of the questionnaire. This JavaScript is derived from the natural structure of the underlying master. The unique approach DealBuilder Server takes to document assembly means that it handles unknown and uncertain data without special coding in the underlying master.

Output Formats
DealBuilder Server supports the direct generation of Word-RTF, HTML, XML and TEXT formats. An additional add-on component handles the generation of .PDFs

Administration
A separate application for administrators enables configuration, management and monitoring of DealBuilder Server. For example, master version control, access control and document tracking.

Reporting
With DealBuilder Reporter, you can generate html based reports of the data stored within the DealBuilder Server databases. These reports can be exported to applications such as Microsoft Excel and Crystal Reports from Business Objects.
